Samantha Goettel: Foodie, Adventurer & SEO Extraordinaire

 

This is Sam. She likes gastronomy (a.k.a “nummy eats”), adventure travel and helping businesses kick butt online. An SEO expert and Bluetrain’s newest SEO Strategist, Samantha is experienced in performing technical site audits, competitive analyses, keyword research, content optimization, Google Analytics set up and is famous for her Google-inspired rap music. Okay, that last bit may or may not be true, but the rest of it is!

As the Search Marketing Strategist at another Edmonton SEO agency, she worked on keyword research and optimization plans for clients, such as CKUA Radio Network, Yardstick Software, and the Alberta Cancer Foundation.

As Organic Search Director for an automotive web design firm, Sam was responsible for heading all SEO initiatives and built an SEO department from the ground up. Here she had the opportunity to work with companies like CUV Honda Canada, The Humberview Group, and The Wheaton Group, and she also helped develop an automotive content management system with built-in SEO-friendly features.

Sam also had a blast attending SMX WEST 2013 (one of the biggest search marketing conferences in the industry) in San Jose California and SMX Advanced in Seattle in 2014.

In 2013, Sam added “web design” and “web developer” to her already long list of credentials by completing the Web Design and Development Certificate Course (levels 1 to 3) at Grant MacEwan University.
