We currently have a part-time, freelance/subcontractor opportunity for: Senior Account Manager

What you’ll do:

As the Senior Account Manager at Bluetrain, you will serve as the primary strategic partner for ~5–7 enterprise clients, driving their digital marketing goals through proactive communication, long-term campaign planning, and high-touch retainer management. You act as a seamless bridge between your clients and internal teams, translating business objectives into actionable strategies while keeping projects organized, on track, and aligned with overall marketing plans. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams in operations, advertising, and social media, you will lead meetings, manage relationships, and advocate for integrated digital solutions to deliver sustained success and measurable growth for your clients.

  • Serve as the primary high-level contact and advocate for enterprise clients, managing a portfolio of monthly accounts.
  • Lead all client interactions, including monthly meetings and calls, while ensuring agendas, reports, and meeting notes are delivered and accessible.
  • Collaborate with internal operational teams to create, maintain, and adjust long-term Digital Marketing Plans based on client goals and priority tasks.
  • Maintain and optimize Digital Marketing Plans based on evolving client needs and high-priority recommendations.
  • Drive results and maintain ownership of client goals and KPIs by applying a deep understanding of the client’s business cycle and strategy.
  • Regularly monitor the state of health for client accounts to identify trends and flag performance issues for the team.
  • Maintain updated project management software, including timelines & task deadlines, report deadlines, and task-related communications both internally and with clients.
  • Manage comprehensive client data by providing detailed statistics upon request and maintaining meticulous records, including client folders, contact information, PPC budgets, and internal documentation of client expenses.
  • Identify opportunities for service expansion to grow the scope of their accounts.

What you bring:

You are skilled at managing multiple client accounts, translating performance reports into executive-level presentations, and proactively addressing client concerns to build lasting relationships. You work professionally and cooperatively with clients, cross-functional teammates, and technical roles like developers and designers to foster a collaborative work environment. You understand the holistic value of digital marketing—from SEO and paid channels to UX and analytics—and use data-driven insights to help clients achieve their overall business goals.

Qualifications

  • A Degree or Diploma in Marketing, Business, or a related field (or formal online marketing education) is an asset
  • Minimum 4+ years of experience managing multiple client accounts within an agency environment or for advertising/marketing services
  • Proven ability to manage, review, and edit detailed reporting prior to leading executive-level client presentations and meetings
  • Demonstrated success in identifying, addressing, and proactively resolving client concerns
  • Solid understanding of digital marketing fundamentals, including SEO, paid advertising, social media, usability (UX), and CMS platforms like WordPress
  • Familiarity with website analytics tools for performance tracking, reporting, and statistical analysis
  • Experience collaborating effectively with cross-functional technical teams, including developers and designers
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of building rapport, presenting complex ideas simply, and facilitating productive client discussions
  • Highly organized and self-motivated with strong attention to detail, strong prioritization skills, a commitment to continuous learning, and a collaborative, fun-loving spirit
