Bluetrain is honoured to be named as one of four finalists for the US Search Awards 2016 in the category Best Use of Search – Third Sector.

What are the US Search Awards?

The US Search Awards celebrate excellence in the search, PPC, and digital advertising industry. Each year, they receive hundreds of nominations from the best search and digital marketing agencies from around the world. The category we’ve been nominated for focuses on recognizing outstanding ad campaigns for charities and non-profits, a sector that is near and dear to our hearts.

So, how did we do it?

Bluetrain was shortlisted for this award due to our work with Student Energy, a global not-for-profit creating the next generation of energy leaders committed to transitioning the world to a sustainable future. As a non-partisan organization, their goal is to encourage students and young people to join in the energy conversation, because the world’s future depends on it.

“Our goal was to help Student Energy fulfill their mission of educating students and young people around the world about energy by attracting the right types of visitors to their website through targeted pay-per-click search ads.”

The focus from the start was on bringing more people to the website and encouraging them to interact with the content on a deeper level. Through carefully targeted keywords, writing strong ad copy, and working to achieve a high Google Quality Score, we were able to meet the strict eligibility criteria required to move up to a Google Grantspro account level (from Google Ad Grants) within seven months. We also focused on targeting the types of people who are eager to engage with the content Student Energy creates.

What impact did this have on Student Energy?

Bluetrain continues to manage Student Energy’s online advertising and SEO activities, and we continue to see growing numbers. We are now working to expand Student Energy’s reach into more countries, and we are excited to continue working with a client that is so dedicated to making a difference in the world.

The US Search Awards are being delivered in association with Pubcon Las Vegas on October 12th, 2016 at Caesars Palace. Bluetrain is excited for the outcome of the awards, but we already feel like winners!
